Performance:
the manner in which or the efficiency
with which something fulfills its
intended purpose.
--- dictionary definition

BMW Performance:
BMW has established the standards by which "sports sedans" are measured---powerful engines and brakes with responsive suspensions, all wrapped in comfortable and safe packages designed to integrate driver with

machine.

BMW Performance Enhancement:
How do you make the best better? More. More power, more brakes, more suspension action, more tires. What else? Oh, yeah----MORE FUN!!

Power enhancement must begin with a solid platform. No sense adding horsepower to a car that needs brake work, or one with worn out suspension; but BMWs needing brake and suspension work are great opportunities for improvement. The car needs parts replaced anyway---why not spend just a little more and make it better than it was when new?

BALANCE MUST BE MAINTAINED

BMWs are extraordinarily well balanced when they come to us, and we need to be aware that any changes we make may upset that balance.

Loss of balance leading to compromised safety and reliability are never acceptable since, by their very definition, they are no longer a part of an upgrade program.

Power increases, for example, need to be balanced with suspension, tire, and brake improvements or the vehicle balance may become upset and the car may become unsafe or less reliable.

Several of the BMW tuners out there recommend modification Stages for this very reason---to maintain balance, to preserve safety and reliability. We will follow their lead, but with our own recommendations

End of lecture---now to the fun stuff:
